EIA For Demonstrating The Commercial Viability of Rural Clean Energy Mini-Grids (CEMG) in Mozambique

A mini-grid project will be developed in Titimane, Cuamba District, Niassa Province. This project will entail a PV/biomass hybrid mini-grid, with an additional battery bank and back-up generator system using diesel. The generating capacity of the PV is around 100 kWp and60 kW from the biomass gasification. An opportunity has been identified to transform the large amounts of cotton farm waste into electrical energy. GreenLight has developed the environmental impact assessment and feasibility study for the conversion of cotton waste to electricity.
